Join us for our Lower Grade Under the Sea Dance! Come dance the night away with friends and family! Dress as fancy or as casual as you like, but make sure you wear your dancing shoes! Guests can also dress in theme such as pirates, mermaids, or any other Under the Sea dress. PTA will sell concessions in the cafeteria, and the DJ will be ready to rock in the auditorium. There will be strobe lighting.
PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd admitted plus one grown-up. This is NOT a drop-off event. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

AM Carpool Reminders (University): Important Information for Morning Drop-Off:
Lane Closure: When the outside lane is closed, please do not drive around the cones. This creates a safety hazard for both students and staff.
Tardy Policy: Tardies begin at 7:25 AM. Guardians must park, escort their child to the designated drop-off area, and sign them in.
Safety First: Please do not drop off your child when duty personnel are absent. This is a significant safety concern.
Traffic Flow: To ensure a smooth and timely drop-off, please: Arrive early to avoid delays. Refrain from using cell phones while in the drop-off line. Ensure your child is ready to exit the vehicle promptly.


AM Carpool Reminders (University): Do not turn left into the carpool lane (from Smitherman/ Stratmore) When the outside lane closes, do NOT drive around the cones.
Outside lane turns left, inside lane turns right-Both exits go to Youree Drive.
Tardies begin at 7:25 and guardians must park, escort the student inside, and sign them in. Please do NOT drop your student off when duty personnel are gone. This is very dangerous.


Cane's Spirit Night will be Wednesday, January 22nd from 4-9pm. Don't cook, instead come to Cane's on Youree Drive to support University Elementary.


Attention Shreveport Community! University Elementary School is in need of a Crossing Guard directly across the school on Smitherman. Please apply TODAY! Must be able to pass a criminal background check, pass a drug screening, work 2 hours a day when school is in session, pay is $14.00/hour.
